It’s been over a year since I switched to Linux full time - no dual booting. I’ve been playing games, making games, music, and videos, doing schoolwork, taking notes, and more, all with Linux software, and with very few issues.

It feels good to finally be free from windows. Anyone else exclusively use Linux? For how long?

I switched right after the steamdeck was announced. I had to see for myself if linux could finally work for gaming, and by golly did it!

What was intended to be a short trial run in advance of getting a deck, became permanent. Both my laptops, desktop, and of course my steamdeck, have been linux since.

I do NOT comprehend people who get a deck, and then put windows on it. And it’s only getting better, using bottles to get Overwatch 2 running a few months back, was a breeze.
