Significant investment?
The problem I find is that it’s such a short time period that it’s unpleasantly hot that it doesn’t feel worth bothering to do that much about it. More trees to help against the urban heat island effect would be nice but I lack the space for that without risking damage to a wall somewhere.
Did spend £120 for a parasol, base, bottle of rum and paddling pool which is pretty nice for relaxing in the garden. Not sure if I should go and get one of those larger inflatable ring pools, can do that for about £100 by the looks of it. Still small by pool scales but large enough to be able to submerge yourself in it, probably comparable to a large hot tub in size, not much swimming but if I want to do that then beach is 5 mins away.
Shame I don’t have more friends who would use a pool though, doesn’t feel worth it to buy just for myself and sit in it on my own.
