Cycling is a great form of exercise for the legs and core, but the arms? Not so much. The VeloGym recumbent trike is out to change that, as it gets your upper body in on the act.
Yeah, I have a Rover 8 I picked up after I broke my arm so I could still ride while I was healing, and even used it was $800. It is fun though! Just be careful around corners, trikes tip easy, even this low to the ground.
Yeah, I’d love a recumbent trike style commuter ride, but there’s no way I’m spending used-car-level-money on one. I assume they’re expensive because they’re niche… but that’s not going to change if they cost so much.
Things like this do look interesting (velomobile version?) but its a shame how they are always so expensive compared to a normal bike.
