I think it’s safe to assume that China is trying to do the same thing to the US that the US did to the USSR - to compel it to compete its way into collapse.

And unless the US miraculously replaces it’s bloated layer of obscenely privileged self-serving jackals in positions of power with people with actual intelligence, integrity and determination, they’ll succeed.
