@helldivers2 I think the dissident war could be such a great opportunity for a new faction event. We don’t need a new fulltime faction or a PvP mode, but if there were a limited time event where Super Earth tasked all the Helldivers with fighting off “dissident” Helldivers where the “dissidents” were other Helldivers tasked by Super Earth with doing the same thing, that would be Super Fun, thematically appropriate, and also really funny. it might be fun to have rebel faction where you have to make due with stolen and makeshift gear. Could also make it so you can “invade” missions, but have really limited support and have to scavenge and hide from the loyalists while they do their mission while you do yours in secret. They would also get rewarded for stopping you and your mission too.
@reksas There are so many cool ways to implement this idea. My main concerns would be balance and remaining true to the co-operative nature of Managed Democracy
