For adults? Yes, it would be old fashioned for an adult boyfriend to sleep on the couch at his adult girlfriend’s place.
They’re not boy and girl, they’re adults in an ongoing relationship. Even if they’re not going to have sex that night they’d probably share a bed for the conversation and cuddles.
