Oh yes electric toothbrush does make all the difference!! I often read magazines when brushing my teeth to pass the time faster. And for flossing I have both flossing string and those toothpick-like brushy things so I can use different products to keep it less boring.
Pleasant lights make all the difference. We use adjustable bulbs that allow changing of tone and brightness, bulbs also need to be good quality to not have that fast flickering effect (if you wave your hand close to a cheap flickering bulb it looks like low fps rather than smooth movement).
