The EU’s refusal to challenge Ukraine on the shutdown of the pipeline — all while sending tens of billions to the country — is simple the latest example of how EU policy undermines the fundamental interests of its member states.

Well, it wasn’t Ukraine’s idea to be invaded and as Russia is attacking the EU since over a decade, it’s more or less just eating the shit end of its own decisions to be on Russia’s tit.
The EU should have moved much earlier against Russia’s aggressive actions and take the hint, that they aren’t a respectable partner

Now Russia has already cost the EU a member, thanks to Brexit and Russia’s misinformation campaigns, and Russia has been successful in running a split through society, by financing and supporting radical groups.

      Are you British?

Where I’m from almost everyone supported Brexit - due to the huge amount of Eastern European workers that undercut British construction workers and students. Nevermind the unpopular EU stuff like not being able to lower VAT or exclude more products too.

Putin had nothing to do with it.

Meanwhile the real issue here is that Europe should have built nuclear power and never depended on gas and oil imports.

To me it’s very clear that Russia runs campaigns aimed at creating division by amplifying whatever radical voices they can. That includes Brexit, Trump and likely the far right in many other places.

It’s not a mastermind plan, it’s about weakening those countries by dividing its people and making their inefficiencies bigger and bigger. They’re not creating the divide, or radicals from far right, or Nazis/fascists, but they’re making it big enough that it’s a big deal.
