It’s very likely related, but we also figured out that both of debounced’s (the admin of kbin.run) accounts on GitHub and Matrix were deleted last night. So there is a possibility that kbin.run is no more.
Fedia.io is managed by an admin which has a long story of managing fediverse services, you should be safe.
Here’s hoping it is fine. I had tried to sign up here rather than .run but had issues at that time. Cheers!
