Nice, thanks for the details, will surely give it a go next time I see it :)
I saw this book in many bookshops and I was always tempted to buy it, how is it generally? This particular story seems very interesting!
Kvaesitso user here too, can confirm. It took two tries for me to really appreciate it and set it up as I wanted, but now I don’t look back anymore.
For iOS you can use yattee https://github.com/yattee/yattee
I would be interested in your list if you don’t mind sharing :)
Having a friend who works as a ramp agent as well (in Italy), I am amazed by the amount of work and security requirements that are needed, and at the same time impressed at how nothing bad happens since everything is so messy that it could collapse anytime
Seconding the use of this feature as well. I took it a bit further and took 5 minutes to set up a “Personal” focus mode, active only in the weekends where all work-related apps, mail, calls, etc. cannot send me notifications. In my work there are some serious boundary issues, so this helps me a lot with anxiety and stress.
Lol similar things to me but only with a disciplinary letter saying I was being punched. We were joking, it was not a punch (it was more like a ticklish thing that I exaggerated a bit), and we had both to go in front of the school principal. Wonderful
Also quality overall has decreased a lot. Some months ago I started seeing news gathered from random reddit posts as in the worst journalism ever. That’s sad, apart from the site you linked, only a couple more (Aftermath comes to mind) seems to remain as good ones for gaming news.
Usually this is the main reason and I had to do the same for librewolf. And if I am not mistaken if you are hardening FF you need to make sure you are not blocking native messaging capabilities, IIRC flatpaks might also have similar “issues”.
Star Wars: The Old Republic. I don’t care about all the MMO stuff, but every time I watch or read something star-wars-related, I want to fire it up, get the one month subscription, and go on with some single-player story I need to finish. This happens twice a year more or less.
I might have a similar problem. I was not using their desktop apps for some weeks, but I updated recently after they released a totally new app on mac os (different name so now I have two apps, ok) which I think is related to their name change. Since then, I can’t login in the new (or old) desktop app no matter what (the error was some connection issue I believe). Haven’t reached out to support yet but it seems they are having some troubles in the transition?
Thanks! I guess I’ll just try and using it for a while :)
Stract seems like an interesting option with optics and such. What is your opinion on it?
I sound like a broken record but check also https://silverbullet.md
It should check all of your boxes + it has local files like obsidian (which is why I love it), and the main dev is very active both on discord and forum.
So hyped for Ventress, very cool reveal
Coming back super later to this, and I agree with your sentiment. Thanks for explaining :) I tried Anytype but the fact that pages are not plain text files is bothering me (I think obsidian kind of spolied me). If you settle on obsidian, for project management in obsidian I tweaked this https://github.com/duoani/obsidian-gtd (not my repo, the js scripts need a small update iirc), which was what I was looking for in a project management system.
I am still waiting for https://silverbullet.md to mature a little bit more and I’ll try to switch to it (foss+obsidian like many useful features as core plugins)
Another mailbox.org user here. I did the same switch as @caravaggio@feddit.nl around the same time and I can highly recommend as well. Setting up custom domains is also not hard and well documented in their knowledge-base. I am also using it for calendars and contacts with no issues at all. A plus of their premium (3€/month) plan, apart from custom domains, is that you have access to a series of other things (appointments, videoconferencing etc.) which are a nice thing to have if you need them (as an occasional teacher in academia I enjoyed having the options, especially since I could avoid Google/Microsoft stuff).
The only annoying thing is how they handle 2fa login on their website. I rarely need to login, but when I do I always suffer.
