I commend you.
This is bound to eat into their budget… which is a good thing no matter how you look at it.

That was my first thought as well. But after a bit I realized that this is going to start eating into their budget. First there is all the money they are use to getting from this BS, and second, this is going to only take money from their budget from here on. Especially if the registrations go up because it doesn’t cost money, only time.
Either they (ATF) win an argument for a larger budget to pay for it or they start arguing against having the responsibility.
And there is the constitutional argument about this no longer being legal if there is no tax collected.

and you can always search a specific website only using most search engines… for duckduckgo you add “site:your.website.com”

a nail or something?

3d print your own to size… or whittle them from a branch of cedar

Found the “Rib Thread Forming” section interesting. Basically the idea of using “crush ribs” as a simple automatic screw thread.
I’ve been in the habit of just making the holes on the small side and then drilling them out bit by bit when needed, but I like this idea better.

Aren’t most or all of the glock double stacks about the same thickness?

You can browse it easily with a rss feed reader. Change the group url from https://www.reddit.com/r/unixporn/ to https://www.reddit.com/r/unixporn.rss … just add the “.rss” to the end.
https://www.howtogeek.com/320264/how-to-get-an-rss-feed-for-any-subreddit/
Also you can do a similar thing with youtube. Go to a youtuber’s “video” page or a playlist page and “Ctrl-U” for the source. Then do a text search for “rss”. Near it you will find an url that is an rss feed that you can access directly in your own feed reader.

Damn… I missed out on that.
I’ve been an IRC guy since the 90’s and still hang in a chan or two all day. I should have thought to do a web search on “gun irc” a long time ago before it was too late.

The Part List section at this listing specifies the included cable has a RP-SMA socket. If the one at whatever listing you’re looking at has the same port, then you’re probably good. But who knows. You can also ask the seller, but ali sellers are sometimes airheads.

but when it fails it fails hard
That sounds like a good thing. I guess that would make it easier to tell when your result is crap?

I don’t understand what you’re arguing. You’re saying it is lower than 90%? How much lower are you thinking? What specifically is the percentage number in your mind where linux becomes “more viable”? And does it not matter whether it is just a bigger number than before?

Showing my age here, but my similar story was in #warezart on ethernet (IRC). We had a pretty tight group of regulars. I spent nearly every day there for over 5 years starting in 1995.
It was unusual then that we were from all over. We had a mod in New Zealand, some euros, a bunch of americans from all over and a handful of canadians. But hanging out like we were in each other’s living rooms.
A bunch of us actually met up in person at the Siggraph trade show once and even made matching tshirts. lol.
Or be even more productive and go…
“STAND UP AND GET OFF THE FUCKIN RAIL AND GO LIVE YOUR LIFE!!!”

or the carrier fuck me over?
If you’re going to get that kind of phone then you gotta pay for it outright and buy the service separately. Most all the good ones are of the prepaid model. Just buy a month at a time starting with the cheapest option and if it doesn’t work well enough to your liking, try another. So I guess my point is that the above isn’t really a serious concern. At any rate, it is completely separate from the phone.

Frankly… I find that meme to be pretty tame. And funny how the article says it is like “Nazi propaganda”. I feel like they’re not giving our great American anti-Nazi propaganda enough respect. Like the WW2 era Bugs Bunny cartoons with super ugly neanderthal looking German soldiers and a squeaky voiced hyperventilating little Hitler with a Napoleon complex.
Maybe the Dutch are a nicer people and have higher standards.

I think it is more of a last 15 years kinda thing. It was obvious this would happen when Europe and the United Nations started funneling all the refugees into Europe and they weren’t really making an effort to culturally assimilate them. It always looked like they were being used like the jews were prior to ww2.

For sure. I recall installing an open source mahjong from the android google store when I bought my first ever android device about a decade ago. Instantly took over my tablet and kept throwing ads at me. And it got into the root and wouldn’t go away when doing a reinstall. Fortunately it was a super cheap tablet that I only got to toy around with. But I have had no interest in ever getting another android device since then.

Yep. People have a bad habit of sticking to their habits beyond the point of usefulness. Myself included.
especially if they are no longer making any money
