I just finished Pluto again after about 10 years. It is also great. Reading Billy Bat now and that reminds me a little of 20th Century Boys.
I have about 80% in index funds and Roth IRA that I never plan on touching until way later. About 15% in Ally savings account at 4.5%, and the rest on hand. The nice thing about Ally is that you get the nice interest rate, and you can pull from that pretty easily.
Been using the Citi Double Cash for years. I always paid the balance monthly, and generally request my cash reward every few months.

Found mine before I really had a career. Ambition can also be saving for retirement and post work life. I am also a DIY person, I rack that up to having hobbies and wanting to learn stuff outside of work.
I read a lot of biographies about people who’ve made boat loads of money, and one of the big sacrifices of that is family. You just don’t have enough time for making money all the time and managing a family.
This is where I’m at. I’m in my early 40s, and have a family. My job is pretty low stress and I have a great work/life balance. Everybody is happy. If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.
Cool stuff! I think the camera FOV in the hiking simulator might be a little off, but overall looks very interesting.
I’m new to it all so I registered on lemmy.world and subscribed to several communities. I also registered and subscribed to the same communities on lemmy.ee. When lemmy.world is down, I use lemmy.ee, but those subscribed communities that are local on lemmy.world are no longer accessible. I thought communities synced over instances so if an instance goes down, communities are still accessable. Is this not true?
Fling trainers? I’m having issues with some of the newer trainers. My guess is that the trainers are integrating with WeMod, which requires some libraries that aren’t installed. So the trainer just exits because of that.
Some areas have couch to 5k programs or similar that will focus on training that builds up in intensity. The advantage is that you won’t overwork yourself to the point that you end up hating running. You will also run with a group which will help with being accountable. Once you get to the point of running and possibly entering some 5k races you will have a good amount of confidence and then you’ll most likely get bitten by the running bug. Good luck!
