South Korea is literally a US military base disguised as a country. It was a fascist dictatorship for decades, and afterwards it has been ruled by an oligarchy. And it’s 100% lockstep with the US.

You shouldn’t need to rewrite anything for your world with the new rules. It’s 99% mechanic updates.

It rebalances the classes, martials v. magic users etc.

I’d say I liked the changes, and I think it makes sense to just allow the players to use the changed classes according to their wish (you have to use the whole class tho, base+sub). And if you like them, use the updated rules for magic, weapons etc. Weapon mastery is p cool.

But like it doesn’t take a full conversion, you can take just some of the updated rules as they fit into your playstyle, world and desires.

Like exactly the same thing happened during alcohol prohibition. Beer disappeared, and spirits got harder and harder.
