@utzer I’m not sure it’s even possible with the ActivityPub paradigm where individual authors own their comments. As a result I don’t know if you can query server A for a reply that was created on server B.
This is different from the Diaspora model where the original author owns the comments, which means server A has an authoritative list of replies, including if authors are on server B.
@utzer What does this mean?
@goatsarah @heluecht Remember he’s German, so this “we should” may either mean “we will” or “we already should”, there’s no way to tell without more context.
@goatsarah @liaizon Yes but I don’t think we have an exception for Lemmy/KBin just yet. @heluecht may have something planned.
@liaizon @goatsarah Yes, we probably still apply our local rules to accept content, which means even if Lemmy is sending us replies, we might not show them to local users who do not follow the author.
@goatsarah Thank you, and it’s okay, please take care of yourself!
@goatsarah The next stable release is planned for early September (hopefully).
@goatsarah @tobias @heluecht Yes, the first stable version of the addon doesn’t have read support. You need to switch to the develop
branch on both Friendica Core and Friendica Addon.
@elena1806 @tobias @heluecht @notizie Not at the moment that I know of. At some point it’s supposed to allow people to set up their own instance, but at the moment it’s very much centralized on bsky.app.
@Siestacorta Très classe ce cerf-volant marémoteur, quoique j’ai des réserves sur le coût de la maintenance à long terme. Tout le système repose sur la tige et l’amarre qui doivent endurer toutes les forces en continu.
