kbin is great, I even got used to the PWA. Still looking forward to the releases of Artemis and Kbam, since I exclusively use kbin from mobile.

Does it though? I was surprised too, but for me it only works anonymously. As soon as I log in, it errors out.

Wer es noch nicht kennt: NewPipe. Wer keine Lust hat sich die App per Sideloading zu installieren kann sich auch Piped anschauen, gerade erst in einem anderen Thread gefunden. Benutzt die NewPipeExtractor Library und kann als PWA installiert werden.

What do you mean exactly? I just tried it and it and Piped seems to work just fine.

You can also import your Goodreads data for what it’s worth. It’s a bit wonky though, but I mainly use(d) Goodreads to track what I want to read and not to meticulously track the exact edition of every book, so it’s pretty ok.

One major improvement would be to able to install Bookwyrm as a PWA or if there was an app.

Any idea if kbin has something similar? There is a link to the Modlog, but I can’t seem to find a link to an overview of the instances it federates with.

That’s interesting. The post might already be gone, but I was still able to open it by checking “newest” on All again when I wrote my original post. Maybe it was still cached?

Anyways, even if porn is banned (which I too think is a sensible approach because moderating that stuff would be a huge headache nobody needs) there might be other articles marked 18+ that should not show up with a potentially graphic image in one’s list.

I guess this is just an oversight by @ernest, which I don’t blame him for in any way. This project is still alpha.

As I said, I have no idea how Lemmy handles that stuff.

@ernest dude, this is a very impressive project already for a single dev! It already looks way better than Lemmy, and when the instance is not under heavy load, feels better too. I’m excited to see where this project is headed!

Yes, that works of course. What I like to do is look at a specific topic when I want to. Let’s say, I’m in the mood to only check out literature/book related stuff. I’d like to open my “Multimagazine” (I saw someone call it a rack, which I think is a nice analogy) where I only see posts that belong to this topic.

I think just being able in my client to “aggregate” different communities/magazines (I’m writing this from kbin) would be great. Like multireddits. This way, everyone can decide for themselves what smaller communities they want to subscribe to. I think neither Lemmy’s clients nor kbin support this right now, unfortunately.
