    I like the term “wizard”.

There is a thing you can do with your attention. (Call it “meditation”, but that term is so mangled in the popular nomenclature that it’s just a blur. So just leave the term for now.)

It takes a degree of control over your attention, to do this thing. Specifically, concentration. That crucial skill. You could call it our first nature, as humans. The power behind thinking and inventing. The stock-in-trade of every engineer, scientist and artist. The keystone of our modern technological, scientific culture.

The asperger/etc has concentration in spades. It is evident when you see the good engineer, scientist and artist. These strange people.

The asperger/etc has a natural skill and familiarity with the depths and powers of concentration that the “neurotypical” just can’t touch.

And he can take it further too. There’s a whole world there.

And yes. A hundred times yes. Wizard is the best word. There is real magic there. (no, not to just be come a better thinker and inventor. There’s something strange and new)

I have gone down that road a bit. I speak from experience.
