Hand of the Emperor is the start of a many novel, interwoven set of stories. Calming, delightful.
A lot of religions have done bad things, but it might only be the Catholics who have a pit of dead babies.

13·5 days agoMy wife went to Catholic school in the 70s. Not sure how it came up, but someone asked how King Herod died and the nun said he ate so much his stomach exploded. My.mom went to Catholic school in the 50s. She was told that Martin Luther “ate babies”
