It’s also a coordinated synthesis from all of your input senses (sight, hearing, smell, etc). It also explains why those who have a certain sense stunted (aka blindness, deaf, etc) report having all their other senses heightened. And it’s up to the individual’s brain to assemble those sensory inputs into a complete picture of the world around them, what we dub “reality.” Which then brings into question the nature of common reality, and what defines it. Trippy shit.

I do have concerns how the incoming fascists “administration” in the US will handle encryption, VPNs, etc, and what that will entail for privacy and acquisition of certain types of data. I’m confident the internet will always find a way, but it’ll definitely be interesting to see what happens in the coming years. I’ve been on a download spree as if late because I’ll be damned if media corps have free range to bleed us dry to listen to music and watch movies, nevermind what conservatives will try to censor next.

Of course not, at least not here in the states. My premium went up $60/year and their reasoning was that due to an increased number of accidents and claims across the board, everyone’s goes up, despite the fact the I haven’t had an accident or even a claim in almost 20 years.

So Cal has had erratic weather patterns for as long as they’ve been keeping records and beyond. Couple that with horrible water management policy and an enormous (and honestly unsustainably large) population, and we end up with the situation we’re in now. The fact of the matter is that there already not enough water here, both surface water and ground water, and the sheer amount of people and requirements put a massive burden on the system. This is why LADWP’s water wars led to fighting in Owens Valley and why most water has to be imported into the LA basin. And then you have schmucks in the San Joaquin valley constantly trying to take more than their fair share to grow fucking almonds and other bullshit crops that get exported abroad, while charging regular citizens out the ass to take a shower.

Not to say your wrong, but it’s disingenuous to ignore the underlying reality and just say climate change. Sure rising temps are a problem, but at this point they’re just exacerbating an already problematic system.
