The half heartedness of the military in this parade suggests that they will be half hearted in their enforcement of the regime too. This would make it much easier to resist and overthrow the regime (or at least enforce rule by mass civil disobedience) as large sections of the military are likely to make only a token effort to suppress it.

I think some people are getting confused and are thinking it’s about signing a consent form (if I understand correctly from the comments), but actually prosecutors would still have to prove that consent did not happen. Sex without consent was already sexual assault under the previous law so what will change is the crime one can be charged with for a certain act and (presumably) the maximum sentence.

If the Trump administration spends a lot of resources trying to suppress the billionaires, that would lead to fewer resources available to suppress the general population.

On the other hand, if the billionaires coup the White House, they would show the US government to be weak to a coup/revolution while simultaneously losing the support of the MAGA crowd. To amplify the latter, we should make sure to spread on social media how JD Vance was chosen by Musk and other billionaires so as to undermine JD Vance’s support among the Republican base should the billionaires replace Trump with him.

A split between the regular fascists and neo-reactionaries could provide an opportunity to overthrow the Trump regime.
