This, I know it’s pretty sad but honestly when those rumours that Microsoft were going to essentially shelve Halo started coming out I got quite emotional about it, I have such fond memories of this franchise and I didn’t want to see it go out like that.

Going into Infinite I was saying this was their last chance for me but they did enough right with the actual game and after it to let me give them one more. I don’t expect the next game to be Halo 2/3 levels of quality but if it’s not a worthy successor to those games then I’m out.

Microsoft have this golden goose that they just refuse to handle properly, one studio doing the main games is fine but this universe is huge, we’ve been begging for spin off games not focused on Chief and we aren’t getting them. They have loads of studios that probably have people who would love to make a Halo game, so let them

Yeah I thought the original leak that they were porting games for PS said it would be MCC so maybe that’s been scrapped.

I watched HiddenXperia’s video on this yesterday and he mentioned that it could be a chance for the “new 343” to see what Bungie did with CE that made it so good that will help them with the next game. Even better if it’s in Unreal so they won’t have as much engine trouble.

Hopefully they give the campaign the H2A treatment and make the multiplayer its own thing instead of using a different game

Decent episode, not amazing but certainly not bad. As you say having 2 Doctor lite episodes back to back is a weird choice, hopefully we’ll see more of him in the last few episodes.

And hey, the outside scenes were filmed at my old university campus, too bad I wasn’t there when they were filming

I feel like this is the last real feature to come to the game, everything else is just going to be community made forge maps/modes and cosmetics to stick in the store/operations.

All we can do is hope the next game will launch with all of Infinite’s post launch content, but given we hoped the same after H5 I’m not feeling that optimistic

It’s crazy to think that Xbox has owned Halo since basically the beginning and have given them one demo each year at their big summer showcase, if they have something to show. They own Call of Duty for less than a year and it’s already getting a show for itself.

It’s no wonder 343 is failing when Microsoft themselves clearly don’t care enough about it

Haven’t seen Boom yet but maybe that’s because the season isn’t hitting for me.

I enjoyed the 60th and the Christmas specials, but the first 2 episodes of this season were just fine. They weren’t terrible like the Chibnal era but they also weren’t as good as RTD’s first era.

I’ve not had much to do this weekend so it’s not like I couldn’t watch the episode, in fact I felt like watching Doctor Who earlier and I instead watched some S1 even though Boom is still to be watched.

I really hope the season gets better as the show has so much potential for more great stories, they just need to be made by the right people

To be honest, as a huge Halo fan, I was surprised when seeing those studios closed that 343 wasn’t one of them. The studio is just cursed, even a leadership change isn’t going to save them.

Either make Halo games from all the studios under Microsoft or start a new one with people who are actual fans of the franchise

Seems kind of strange to announce this way I wonder if they’re expecting a big leak to come out so they’re getting ahead of it? Otherwise, why not just mention at the end of that June direct that you’ll talk more about this in the coming months

Revenge of the Fifth

I’ve wanted to see Barriss become an inquisitor for a long time and I’m glad she acted like she did since she technically wasn’t fully wrong for her actions in the clone wars, she just went about it in the worst way.

Episode 2 really showed how she was a good Jedi, but for what the Jedi were supposed to be, not soldiers which is why she did what she did.

I do wish we got something more with Vader given that she was the one who basically triggered Ahsoka into leaving the order in the first place which surely helped with his fall to the dark side.

Also I really hope she died at the end, we’ve had too many people surviving lightsaber wounds in recent years, bacta can’t heal everything.

Episodes were fine I suppose, but I feel as though there could have been a better character to focus on instead of Morgan.

Thrawn is meant to be the next big villain for the Star Wars universe after the Ahsoka series and he wasn’t exactly great in that so why not give us 3 episodes showing why he should be a threat
