  • Still a cop, still a bastard.

“All cops are bastards” means “All cops are bastards”, no exceptions. Simply put: even the most polite, most protocol-abiding, most progressive-coded police officer still ultimately serves to impose the will of the capitalist class upon the working class. Rarely do they ever protect, rarely do they ever even make the situation better, and the rare times that they do anything positive are basically when calling a monster with a gun is better than calling no one at all.

It’s not a “barrel of apples” situation. It’s more like a barrel of radioactive waste: some of it might be less bad than the rest, but ultimately we need to get the whole barrel as far away from humanity as possible forever.

It’s that the police are categorically a bad thing. It literally does not matter what else a cop does, as long as the individual is still a cop and still have cop powers and privileges, then like all other cops, they are bastards.

Dude got beaten by his fellow officers.

That sucks and that shouldn’t have happened. But he still went back into policing, even becoming an arch-cop. So fuck him.

  • Then do it. I never said anything about not planning or a blaze of glory.

You said “Buy a gun and sacrifice” but without any discussion of what to actually do with those guns. Maybe I read too much into your words, I’ll cop to that, but it felt like you were implying that buying guns and nebulously “sacrificing” are the solutions. My point is that we need to actually do stuff with those guns and our sacrifices.

And strictly speaking, I did not say that you said those things. By your logic, I could accuse you of putting words in my mouth…but it’s more likely you are just trying to read the subtext of what I said, which is absolutely reasonable.

People standing for humanity don’t give a shit about your political system or nation.

Okay fine boycott us I literally don’t care, I fucking hate this country…but to do accurate climate research, you need climate data from across the globe, right? I mean sure you could interpolate the missing data, but would that be physically accurate? Probably not.

The way you people talk your talk is just as bullshit as the methods of the right.

No lol, leftists are incredibly rare in this country so even when we do go out and do stuff, it gets drowned out by liberals and liberal media. Like there are absolutely people arming themselves, doing mutual aid, protesting, doing direct actions, etc., but the culture here is working against us.

Like the Mafia boss ain’t shit if he’s alone. Under that metaphor, there just aren’t many mafiosos around here.

Like I literally do not disagree with your commentary about US-American culture and I am perfectly willing to let you vent at me about my neighbors and even myself, but you’re missing the forest for the trees here. This isn’t a W for you. It just sucks for everyone.

  • No? Everyone else doesn’t deserve access to US-American climate data? Because even if US-Americans all unilaterally deserve the worst, then what about the innocent people the empire has damned to a climate-related death?

    Buy guns and sacrifice.

This is individualistic thinking. I absolutely support armed insurrection against the US government, but we gotta organize, we gotta gather support, we gotta get the masses involved in their own liberation.

Individualistic tactics by those with high risk tolerances need to be complemented by collectivist actions.

It’s just not as simple as “buy a gun and go out in a blaze of glory”.
