I’ve been trying my best buying responsibly sourced clothing with organic cotton and washing cold/delicate and air drying. Gotta say, the clothes are lasting a long time but they’re so damn expensive that I feel like I have to treat them with such care.
It’s hard to blame people for not wanting to spend $200 on a lifetime lasting shirt in this economy when they can get one for $10 and have it last maybe a year and just buy new clothes.
Perhaps as part of regulation, there’s subsidies for responsibly/ethically sourced clothing.
I always chalk up fictional universes as being translated to you as storytelling. The Whos probably don’t even speak English anyway so everything is translated and what we call Christmas is a crude translation from whatever they call it. I seek solace in that they celebrate a pagan gift giving tradition with decorating similar to our Christmas but without the Christ.
