  • I feel like that sign is a bit alienating, which is unfortunate because it perpetuates the idea that vegans are holier than thou. As a person that (i think) understands the basic reasoning behind veganism (intentional non-participation in animal exploitation and cruelty?) i wish that more people would consider it. Hey, maybe that should be a sign

Nah, i downvoted because the op appears to promote Russian imperialism and whataboutism, and that is a big red flag to me. I’m assuming most of the folks in here agree with the sentiment of this post, but the purpose of it is to pretend that Russian imperialism is fine because America does it? That’s absolute shit.

  • I’ve always liked gaming on Linux for the challenge of getting it to work and to not have Windows talking up precious hd space. And let’s face it, i like to play the fun game where i spend half an hour trying to get the controller to work again, which is just part of the experience i say. I could see folks wanting to express their technical skills by pwning those Windows gamers with cheats, but i like to reserve that special energy for the computer itself, setting up my 19 year old Logitech controller.

  • I think i watched this, or something like it. If it’s the one i saw, the takeaway was to not become a programmer, but to use programming to supplement what you’re already doing or pursuing. Imagine being a photo editor that knows how to write a bash script to automate a bunch of tasks, or a video engineer that can write or modify a driver, or a horse trainer that can make a sophisticated gambling algorithm so they win lots of money from their horse, that sort of thing.
