I can do this. If I’m in a really quiet area, I like to take in a deeper breath and then exhale as slowly as possible while doing it, which then allows me to hear my heartbeat. Super nifty.
I can also use my soft pallet to block airflow from my throat to my nose. Can you do that too?
That’s where I rely on “fake it till you make it”.

When I was a kid my dad would trap local stray cats, drive 50 miles away and then release them. If you have a forest a fair distance away you could do the same. It’s not a great solution, but it’s something.
I have a family of 4 and tend to only eat out rarely and most often as a group. We drive a car there. For groceries we tend to take our van since we go every other week and it’s hard to fit all the groceries in the car’s trunk. The store is only 4 miles away, so in theory you could make several trips with a bike, but it’s not very practical.
Sadly, public transportation is non existent in my area, and we get snow and ice in the winter. I’m excited for a future where electric vans become affordable so we can ditch our ICE vehicles.
Just search “sort” in the settings and you’ll find a spot where you can set the default sort. I also switched mine to hot.
If you click on the 3 dots to access the post options for a post from that instance, there is an option to filter out just that community or even that whole instance. I’ve done that with several non-english instances.

How did you get stats that high?
The trick is that while you hold your ears ‘open’, you have your lungs try to not breath out but you don’t close your mouth. This lets the heart beating against your lungs be what pushes air in and out and then you hear the sounds of the air pulses as it moves past your eustachian tubes in your throat. Making sure your lungs are as full as possible is required so the lungs push against the heart.
