  • RN here. Dunno anything about your age or past medical history but your ER work up sounds like pretty much standard of care for my ER. I wouldn’t fret about your troponin too much, I know 7 appears as nearly twice as much as the baseline 4 but the truth is most docs I work with probably wouldn’t think much about it til it hits 40s-50s…lab gives me a call directly if I have a patient with a trop in the 70s. Major cardiac events can reach trops into the 1000s

If it’s not resolving I’d say it would be a good idea to follow up with your primary first. Assuming you’re not currently having shortness of breath or nausea/vomiting I’d also suggest trying ibuprofen/naproxen in the meantime and see how you feel, improvement could suggest a condition called costochondritis which is more or less an inflammation of your rib/sternum joint. The cause of that isnt always clear but it’s not dangerous and normally resolves after a week or 2

Nah dogs have mad endurance too. My dog comes mountain biking with me and runs 20 miles, I have a friend that rode 40 miles with his border Collie following. I have another friend that studies mountain lions and hikes with a rat terrier trained to sniff out scat and they do about 15-20 miles/day

Dogs have been hunting partners for humans for likely tens of thousands of years. They should have comparable endurance…they go wherever we go
