There was a website I remember back in the early 2000s about a fictional communist Canada. It was hilarious and awesome and wish I could even remember what it was called…

Incredible. Anything that dunks on tech bros in general and Altman in particular is just chefs kiss
Does such a bad job yet I’m sure leaves with a golden parachute worth more than I’ll make in my lifetime.
To be fair, I live in a high humidity area and visiting a ‘dry heat’ area was amazing. Being in the shade actually felt refreshing instead of oppressive and stuffy.
We still get DVDs from our library of whatever show we are watching now, even if we are subbed to whatever service it is on. No ads, deleted scenes, & bonus features? Sign me up! Even saves time, we can watch one episode in about 15 minutes less compared to streaming. Since we watch at night after the kid goes to bed those 15 minutes are more valuable than you’d think.
Whatever is cheapest/easiest for my family.
Friend bought me ToTK so I’ve been having fun with that.
I don’t know how ‘obscure’ this is, but I read two great short story alternate histories in an anthology - ‘The West is Red’ and ‘The Forest of Time’. I loved the world building in both and would love more of it.
Bonus mention for a humorous one from the same anthology “How I Lost the Second World War and Helped Turn Back the German Invasion”
Here’s the anthology that has all three stories:

We just switched to that same plan from an Xfinity Family Plan we were on with my sister and her family. Been happy so far.
Also really enjoyed that one.
Important to note that tariff rate can vary wildly based on product and any applicable FTAs.
The Long Dark with headphones in a dark room. Really makes you feel cold.
Elite Dangerous as well. My ship auto-docking while I look at my side screens and hear various radio chatter is awesome.
Don’t threaten me with a good time. :-)
Seriously though, we have friends there and have visited. We fell in love with all of it, from the culture to the landscape.
We’re on a limited data plan to save money so I already keep it turned off for everything except messaging. I don’t think we could afford a full-fat data plan! That crap adds up quick.
Personally, if I see a full trash can I will keep my trash with me until I can find a place to dispose of it. I can’t imagine just throwing it on the ground regardless of the can situation.
Not go to work and sleep for about a year before I figure out what I really want to do.
Edit: move to Finland first.
That’s cool!
Anti-dumping orders can be very specifically targeted (down to a manufacturing company level) to combat the issue in your first paragraph. Sometimes the duties can be over 100% on items that get ADD.
There are still high tariffs on many raw steel products from many countries - it’s called Section 232 duties.
Look at my pfp. :-)
