Imagine AI hallucinating additional enemies on your screen when you are playing something like League of Legends.
As for games like skyrim - they might as well turn into wish-fulfilling AI-powered “go on adventure in fantasy land” machines and nobody would notice the difference.
The greatest suffering in life, that anyone can experience no matter who they are, is unfulfilled expectations. Girl isn’t interested in you, Weather isn’t what you want. Boss didn’t give you a rise etc.
According to Buddhism solution is to stop expecting things of others, of life, of reality. You can only control yourself, expect of yourself if you must.
Perhaps a bit of an exotic philosophy, but I think it applies here nicely.
Foxes are cool. Like cat software on dog hardware.
I will be honest with ya, if I looked better in dress than a shirt I would wear it. No Linux needed.

Memes of Production@quokk.au•the trouble with anarchism is all that libertyEnglish
4·20 days agoI know what a tool is. And while I admire the ideals of renaissance men trying to become proficient in every possible skill, I would not trust a person who watched few videos and tinkered a bit with every single situation in my life.
I guess anarchism isn’t something I would be able to work with.

By central authority in this case I mean any list, forum, chat, collection etc. that gathers information like “A person X has competences Y and office in place Z with contact number Q”. Whoever manages, control that list becomes effectively able to dictate who and why should be accessible to public.
By saying that you search online you support Google, Bing or any other specific search algorithm as the global central authority

6·20 days agoYes, but wouldn’t whoever creates and manages that list became new equivalent of authority? They decide who is worthy to get on the list, and who can access it.

9·20 days agoPart of anarchism that bothers me is that without central authority keeping track of everything my ability to find specific help I need would be solely dependent on whether I or any of my friends know person with that particular set of skills.

To be honest… electric field you are surrounded by every day most likely affects you more than position of Saturn on the night sky… But people who claim that new tech is causing medical issues are considered crackpots.
Believing in astrology is much safer.
But think how much money it all made for mysterious shareholders! /s
Media been minimizing crimes for years through the concept of “sensitive topics”. Many users are so used to them they even self-censor. There is no murder or rape in media nowadays, people are simply “unalived” or “having involuntary sex”.

In terms of foolish - many features of Windows 11 are currently just a border-less chromium browser running online version of them, eating RAM like crazy.
So “foolish management decisions” seems to be a theme of recent years.
