I had always heard professional dog training was only really worth it if the dog was still a puppy, is that not the case? The shelter forms had said he’s about 2 years old, which ik is still pretty young but it’s obviously not puppy young. But thank you for your reply, I’ll look into the YouTube channel you linked and do my best with what I can do on my own.

We did sort of try something like this, we don’t really have any neighbors or friends to ask so we did it just between ourselves. I would handle the dog and my Dad would pass by on the bike. Thing is he gets tired running after things by like 3 passes (in typical pyrenees fashion) and he’s just back at it the same as usual the next day. So we sort of gave up on it since he didn’t seem to be making much progress with only being able to do it a few times a day on the weekends when my Dad is home.

I liked both but ultimately joined Lemmy over kbin because it seems like there’s more interest in building mobile apps for Lemmy. (Currently using Jerboa) Also like that my Lemmy instance is based on renewable energy which is nice.
