You might be thinking of the Underworlds steam game? It matches the first two I think seasons of Warhammer Underworlds, am Age of Sigmar card+minis+boardgame sort of thing (honestly, one of GWs best games).

Keep in mind, there’s a lot more that goes into the wildly superior Dutch infrastructure than just which streets get bike lanes along them. Roads are also fundamentally deferential to pedestrian and bike traffic there. As in, crossings are elevated above the road, which has a surprisingly effective impact on the culture and behaviors around modes.
The other issue with bike infrastructure in MA is also the reason we see pockets of it done so well-- cities here have way more power than in other states. It’s a lot easier to get this stuff implemented here with purely local efforts than, say, in WI or wherever. We also just straight up generally love biking here. It’s still totally baffling to me how that fucking gremlin thought he could run for mayor of Somerville on an explicitly antibiking platform. I also wish we could get our shit together in Medford on this, but my city is so god damned broke, I don’t think we could afford the paint for slapping down lines.
The tax you pay is one the net gain, which is the amount realized less the base of the good (i.e., what you paid to acquire). I’m not a tax expert, and real estate can get really fucky with this stuff, but that’s my understanding of the fundamental rules for taxation.
I specified utility patents. The smartphone wars covered a huge gamut of different types of IP, including both utility and design patents. If something is purely ornamental in nature (and new), it can get a design patent. There’s quite a bit more nuance to it than that, tbf, but I’m on my mobile trying to gtfo bed in the morning so don’t really want to dive into a doctrinal lesson on patents.
Large corporations devote significant resources to developing patentable technologies strictly for IP creation rather than productization. Part of this is for aggressive licensing purposes, part is for participation in patent licensing pools with other major companies, and part is for defensive purposes wrt blowback analysis (i.e., someone considers enforcing their own IP, but the target has so much other IP that could be turned against them, the blowback risk outweighs the possible gain in a successful enforcement).
This is pretty different than a troll, which typically does not develop technology but rather goes out and snaps up assets on firesale from companies having solvency issues or pruning their portfolios. Moreover, trolls are not entering pools or worrying about blowback… they produce nothing so they cannot infringe a target’s IP.
Look and feel and basic architecture are respectively not eligible for utility patent or likely to be found obvious/directed to ineligible subject matter.
Yea, certainly seems like you have no sincere interest in this issue but are just another buzzard. Gross.
No, you’re obviously a liar.
Anyway, you being a silly dickhead aside, I corrected my post because it turns out that you were at least correct about the context of the elections. It’s a good thing I’m more interested in getting clear and contextually correct information out there or you being such a shit head might’ve caused me to dig my heels in deeper, which literally would be counter to your purported intent (though I suspect you just want to be right and yell at people, and don’t give a shit at all about much beyond that). Have a shit day. :)
Also, the search was triggered because that’s literally what happened and he refused to cooperate.
No, but parenting can be pretty complex and there is a large degree of variability child to child. The idea that you either are a psychotic helicopter parent (because there is really no other interpretation to demanding a parent be around their toddler 24/7) or simply should not have children is a gross oversimplification and also, more importantly, fuckinh prima facie dumb as shit.
I feel like this paints Hamas in a much more forgiving light that it deserves. Hamas “won” the election after a violent campaign of intimidation and even then only by a plurality. While Fatah has many flaws, it’s not a religio-fascist organization prone to arbitrary violent cruelty. Yes, Fatah criticizing Hamas is nothing new, but more because they’re fundamentally opposed groups than Western preferences.
EDIT: It’s been pointed out to me that I was wrong about the context of Hamas’ election and sources seem to back this up. While Hamas IS a violent religio-fascist organization, its violence against its electorate and opposition parties did not escalate until a few years after they were elected to a clear majority.
Cool. You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about then!
Unfortunately, I don’t think you’ll find that as much anymore. One of understated but equally awful side effects of Hamas’ very successful pogrom is, in targeting who it did among the Israeli population, it pushed a lot of Israeli society currently in Israel hard right even beyond standard rally around the flag effects. The Israeli left and peace activist movement effectively died last year.
Yea, Judaism has no such thing as a deep and extensive set of rabbinical discourses that are as fundamental as the Torah. Really solid and thoughtful observation.
This slightly misses the mark. The majority of crimes, including violent ones, are not committed by people performing a risk calculus. They’re done with minimal thought and more often than not in the heat of the moment. Effectively, they are not crimes that you can deter because for a crime to be deterred, the potential criminal has to assess whether it makes sense to commit the crime. This works in cases of like financial fraud and white collar crime. Someone shooting another person during an altercation, not so much.
Yes, we should also be addressing the failings of our penal system(s). Unfortunately, many around the world, and clearly yourself included, are more interested in retributive “justice” than habilitative functions.
Friendly reminder that this is person is an idiot and this is a deeply incorrect explanation of the Jewish religious understanding of jews’ relationship to God. In talmudic tradition, it is more or less correct to say that jews are understood to be in a contractual relationship with God.
I suspect this person has a bad relationship with their ex, and has decided to weave a cloak of straws to justify their shitty relationship and the community and familial support their ex receives to their personal disadvantage. It’s a weirdly common vector of effectively unintentional antisemitism. That, or they might just be dumb.
Keep in mind that this isn’t creating 3d Billy volumes at all. While immensely impressive, the thing being created by this architecture is a series of 2d frames.
Trump literally floated using the US military as a mercenary force, among a giant swathe of other fundamentally terrible policies he furthered, not to mention the broad and very obvious corruption under his administration just a few years ago. What in the fuck are you even talking about?
