I’m a gender-fluid transracial provocateur pointing out that freedom isn’t permission from the government; it’s the default state of every human being. Including the right to define my own racial identity without apology.

Libertarian News@lemmy.today•‘I forget she's white’: Rachel Dolezal's dramatic new look slammed by critics who say she’s still 'committed to blackfishing'English
11·18 days agoI like her and I think she gets treated unfairly. Shouldn’t people be able to identify as whatever they want, and I don’t think it’s fair she catches so much grief for it.
Why is it ok for one claim, and not the other? If Lemmy calls her a “race faker” then aren’t there people who are “gender fakers?” (I don’t agree with either take, by the way)
She once told Vanity Fair, “If people feel misled or deceived, then sorry that they feel that way, but I believe that’s more due to their definition and construct of race in their own minds than it is to my integrity or honesty, because I wouldn’t say I’m African American, but I would say I’m Black, and there’s a difference in those terms.”

1·1 month agoBut the final version specified that the Department of Justice must make public “all unclassified” documents on Epstein.
The word unclassified potentially gives Trump and the CIA wide latitude to hold back Epstein-related materials that they claim are too sensitive to release. In this, they have the support of House Speaker Mike Johnson, who insisted that US intelligence agencies be allowed to “protect their critical sources and methods. It is incredibly dangerous to demand that officials or employees of the DOJ declassify material that originated in other agencies and intelligence agencies.”

11·4 months agocensoring every Republican thing you can,
I don’t believe in censorship though. You know, people don’t have to actually click on the links. You’re not being forced to read them. Do you realize how few people are even on Lemmy? You act like posting a link to a news article is poison to the mind or something.
No one who is on Lemmy is gonna suddently turn conservative and be brainwashed because hey see some conservative views on Lemmy! Lemmy is the nerdier, incel-er, anti-social-er, MUCH SMALLER version of Reddit. lol
you just seem like a sock pretending to hate the two party system after you get pushed.
But why would I do that? What would I possibly get out of pretending. Why would I post views (including anti-republican) from all parties if I were just conservative?
There’s no reason to “pretend” to hate the two party system. What is the total user count of Lemmy? Isn’t it something like 50K total active user or something?
Lemmy’s active community of about 50K to 70K active users is well under 1% of Reddit’s user base. Less than 1%. lol So why would I lie, and why would you be upset about what I post. There is no one here! lmao
If I wanted to be a Republican, I’d just say so. There’s no payoff in pretending. A person who’s secretly conservative wouldn’t spend time posting criticism of Republicans or sharing viewpoints from every side. That makes no sense on its face.
There’s no incentive to run some long con for a crowd this size. I post what I believe in the moment. I don’t need a disguise and I don’t get anything from faking a position.
Both major parties look the same to me in how they act and how they treat people. The only real difference I notice on Lemmy is that some of the loudest Democrat-aligned users come off more aggressive than the Republican ones.
I’ll keep saying what I want to say. If someone doesn’t like it, they can block me. Nothing I’m doing requires lies, tricks, or a hidden agenda, especially not on fucking Lemmy. LMAO

Conservative and Conservative2@lemmy.today•This Says It All: Democrats Block the Immediate Release of all Remaining Epstein Files English
11·4 months agoI’m posting a link to a news article. Calm down. I’m not even conservative. I think all points of view should be allowed. Lemmy is mostly left-leaning and posts from left news orgs, so I think it’s totally fine to post articles from central- and right-leaning news orgs.
I’m independent, third party supporter. And if you think a point of view from a news org shouldn’t be allowed, just because it’s a right-learning news org, then I think that’s a form of censorship.
So stop with the “ohr my gawd, ur defending!” crap. I’m posting a fucking link to a news article.
Also I just wanna point out: Lemmy has NO influence in the real world. No one even fucking knows about us. So stop thinking this is some propaganda thing too. The news orgs i am posting from have way way more hits/views/clicks than Lemmy ever will. lol
Having said that, fuck the duopoly! Dems and Repubs suck capitalist cock. And if you post a news article from a left-leaning news org, would it be fair for me to say you are supporting the duopoly and the dems?!
Wake the fuck up.

Because it shows what happens when the world treats identity like an official category that needs to be sorted and approved. If someone can claim an identity that doesn’t match their birth background, it forces people to ask who gets to decide what “counts.” From my libertarian view, the minute government and large institutions start tying status, jobs, or benefits to identity labels, you’re basically inviting fights over paperwork and “authenticity” instead of leaving people alone to live their lives.
A lot of libertarians also see this as a consistency test. If society is moving toward the idea that self-identification matters a lot in one area, it’s not crazy that someone will push that logic into another area.
Adults should have broad freedom to define themselves and present themselves how they want, as long as they aren’t using government power to force everyone else to play along. The state is clumsy, political, and usually wrong about anything this personal.
The main point is: don’t hand the government more authority over identity, and don’t build systems that make identity claims a ticket to special treatment in the first place.
And on a personal note, I find it pretty ironic that Lemmy seems pro diversity and pro labels only when they fit into a list of “approved” identities. The hate and DMs I’ve gotten here, just because transracial is not widely accepted yet, make it hard to believe this is really about inclusion for a lot of people. It feels more like some users are copying whatever their corner of left leaning culture says is acceptable, instead of acting from any consistent values.
I have had people on this platform tell me to kill myself. Whatever someone thinks about transracial, that kind of response is not inclusive. It is just cruelty.
But if you go look up some articles that argue for/against transracialism to be accepted, you’ll see that we are facing the exact same arguments and hate that transgender people faced (and often times still face), before it became more widely accepted.
