Your (mostly) friendly resident Night fury (derg 🐉) on Lemmy.
For better description check me out on Mastodon at @Draconic NEO@pawb.fun.
I was wondering why I wasn’t getting any email notifications from pawb.social in my inbox I thought something might’ve been wrong but I also thought maybe it was google just being Google and blocking domains as “spam”.
Awesome, good to hear.
Awesome, what was causing it?
Even these are still much better quality than a lot of the stuff I’ve seen in the review area. A lot of which is basically unrecognizable, one of them I saw seemed like it was trying to make an animal of some kind but it was so malformed I couldn’t tell what it was supposed to be, or if the things in the background were supposed to be trees, buildings, or mountains.
I can agree that some of them, especially the more well crafted ones can be great quality. As an example here’s one of the samples I generated for the icon of the future AI dragons community.
Though unfortunately the same cannot be said for most of them. I should know since I’ve reviewed quite a few of them on AI Horde, mostly for the points but also because it can show you what people are generating. There were a decent number of good ones coming through, but a lot were extremely malformed and some were even just noise. And that translates to people posting a lot of funky and messed up ones.
He wanted to understand why, that doesn’t mean he can’t point out if it is wrong, or situationally dependent.
First two I definitely agree on, it does result in low-quality, low-effort spam, since they can be generated easily and people often post it automatically for a bigger boost.
Last one really does depend. Open.ai and the like absolutely are. Community driven open source projects, not so much. Actually I really admire and appreciate the work that @db0@lemmy.dbzer0.com has been doing with the AI-horde. It’s actually pretty amazing. Especially their CSAM defense system, which really can be beneficial for Fediverse admins to clear out potentially harmful content from their pict-rs database without having to see and experience it themselves.
I just noticed that. This is one awful bug.
Seems I had massive comment duplication, would you mind purging the duplicates I created in this thread? Best to purge them than just remove them since just removing them will still clutter the thread.
Server seems very glitchy right now, maybe might want to take it down for the meantime while you stabilize it? It’s giving errors every other refresh. Pawb.fun is also completely inoperable.
Comment took many attempts to go through…

I’ll probably ask in dbzer0 if people there have an interest. I might think about the idea of having an AI thread since that would be more manageable, if there aren’t enough people willing to start a community.
AI generated content is often seen as low-quality (depending on the model used) and can lead to spammy, low-effort content. Many people also have strong opinions about it and get into arguments about whether it is acceptable or not, or whether AI generation makes you a bad or stupid person, whenever people post it. I’m not prepared to deal with and breakup these fights, so we just opted to not have it in this community to keep people happy.
If there is enough interest I might consider creating a community for AI generated dragon content on lemmy.dbzer0.com, and recruit moderators from the other AI communities there. If that happens I’ll update the sidebar to link to that community as the place to go for AI generated dragons.
Aww I love it, he’s so cute. You should definitely go crosspost this on !dragons@pawb.social I’m sure people there would like it.
I think that the question of what is a dragon and what isn’t a dragon has become very murky and unclear. I mean there are many dragons that are called dragons but aren’t really dragons, like take the pokemon Goodra for instance. They’re not really a dragon by the classical definitions, but many people consider Goodra a dragon because of their type-set. Often these days it’s more common for dragons to be considered dragons, even if they aren’t really like the classical dragons from European or Asian mythology.
Yeah, glad someone picked it up.
If I’m remembering right it’s between crunchy and chewy. I also remember it being particularly mealy which is why I don’t particularly enjoy it.
I honestly don’t really like candycorn, I know it’s a big Halloween thing but they’re just not my favorite.
Shapeshifting is very useful, though I prefer the other benefits though, like the abilities and disguising yourself. I’d rather not change my genitals unless it’s absolutely necessary (i.e. as part of disguising yourself).
Aww he’s so cute. You did a great job.
