Using the term “chief” to refer to someone is not new. My uncle used to call my dad that probably 30 years ago when they worked together.

First 4 seasons before the initial cancelation are gold.

I’ve yet to finish all the ones that came after the cancelation but there’s definitely good stuff there too.
