He could arguably do the same job Lavia could, but we can’t run him into the ground again he will break

Yep pretty much. Usually goes through though. Relatively rare a player refuses, less rare terms can’t be agreed but still unlikely. He could also fail the medical or agents could start demanding extra cash. I’ve no reason to believe any of things could happen.
He needs to agree personal terms. Ornstein saying formality would suggest they know what he is asking for and it’s within our pay structure, and that he would be happy to join us. He could say no.
A wiser move for the immediate impact that we need. Though he has been angling for a move for a while and not covering himself in glory through it.
Stop fannying about and get it done if he’s the right player
I’m certainly not critiquing your efforts and welcome all speculation
If I’m reading the tiering correctly, this is speculation in its purest form
Never heard of Andre, sounds great.
Also £40m rejected so we try £41m…? Schmadtke on fire.
Who played at 6?
Glad Bajcetic is going to be back soon but we definitely at least if not two more
£50m, absolute nonsense. The bid would need to be outrageous and even then he’s got legitimate trophies to win here
I think we will learn very little from this game. There will be two XIs, switching at half time, with those XIs as units not representative of Klopp’s future plans.
Perhaps we will get some insight with Nunuz playing at 9 instead of LW, but likely that will be because Gakpo plays as 9 in the other half. Maybe some youngsters featuring will provide insight into pecking order. Jones and Elliott may not feature given they are just back after u21s.
All that said, I can’t wait.
Posting before it premieres, strong
I feel VVD starting to believe his own hype too much. Maybe the injury, wanting to be at world cup also, but he was hardly ever dribbled past before last season. I’d go with Trent, long runway and could drive him to the next level.
This makes me excited. Perhaps I’m misremembering or rose tinted glasses for the moment, but I feel like previous pre seasons have been dribs and drabs of returns then fielding lots of youth in the pre season games early on. This year should be a couple of solid 11s with some youth mixed in. Big names, big time players already back training together on day 3.
ASM at times looks all flair and limited end result. He’ll score you a worldy now and then. Barnes outscored him 13 to 1 last year albeit with ~50% more matches. Assists 5-1 in favour of ASM.
In 21/22 they played a similar number of matches (35 to 32 in favour of ASM) and Barnes outscored (6-5) and outassisted (10-5).
Barnes also homegrown.
Milner will be missed thoroughly. Critically important that the new signings get set a strong example, Milner would have done that but not concerned about others stepping up. Most interested to see who wins the lactate test now.
I’ve set one up, assuming there isn’t one already.
