I couldn’t deal with the no downvote button in beehaw server. Lemmy.ml seemed to be fit my preference best when I joined at the time. There’s also the fact that there’s no way to migrate your history right now so I’m staying where I am atm I guess. It also feels like the main instance is the less likely to go down in the future

I joined lemmy like a week before reddit’s announcement after checking it every now and then for months. I didn’t see so many comments and upvotes on posts last week.

Does reddit even hear themselves? Making us pay for a subscription to use our favorite third party apps is one thing but making us pay for it with limitations like no access to nsfw content is pure insanity.

It’s like servers just like the other used said. Each of them has their own guidelines and stuff from what I can tell. Nobody can make a sudden decision for all of the instances like reddit made about restricting their api I think but we can still interact with most instances.

I signed up a few days before reddit made the announcement lol to just check lemmy out since I’ve been hearing about it for a while. I had no idea reddit would do this then. I just figured out how to connect to different instances and this is my first comment in a different instance from the one I signed up :D

Damn it lol. I was hoping to switch to those immediately after the change. Hope they switch to scraping.

Really? Boost is also my favourite reddit app lol. That’s probably why I took a liking to jerbora instantly lol. I saw some similarities but didn’t think it was based off of boost.

I was wondering about libreddit and teddit as well lol.

Reddit’s announcement made me open lemmy to check the discussion happening here lol. Now I’ll check hackernews as well.

Also, can someone help me access other instances from the jerbora app? I’m a bit new to lemmy. I can’t seem to get it working by following the official help pages. The three dot on the top right of the search bar tab doesn’t seem to work and I’m not sure what that is for.
