I never managed to fully get into the first game, I think mostly because I only had it on mobile and there was some jank with the touch controls. The sequel feels MUUUCCHHH more refined and I’m loving the multiplayer. I’ve been trying to stop playing MTGA because the decks you go against online are just zero fun to play against, so this has been very refreshing as a PvE alternative.

I did a good bit of research into the language of my ancestors, hunting for a femme version of my given name. I found one that technically belongs to the protolanguage, but liked it a lot, and as I researched more about it the meaning and origins of the name made me like it even more. It conveniently shares the same first initial so it makes dealing with government paperwork and my deadname a bit less bad, plus some of my nicknames still work.

When I was still using it I used Syncthing to distribute copies to multiple devices and that distributed nature also functioned as a backup.

There’s lots of people, myself included, that would help you out. The only games I can’t play on my Linux install are games with invasive anti cheat. That goes for steam games, games with their own launchers, and games from DRM free installers like from GoG and…other places. Cyberpunk specifically I have a lot of time in running perfectly across 4 different Linux distros. It can definitely work for you too.

I stand by the core point of people, not just men, needing to be more open to therapy as an option, but amounting the addiction to just feeling guilt for watching porn was disingenuous. True. I make right around 20k a year and manage to scrape together $155 per visit to my therapist. So I promise I know it’s expensive. I do still think lots of people, of all genders/presentations, that could be in therapy and should be, aren’t and at no fault of their financial situation.

Never said everyone. If someone is battling addiction, therapy is generally a good idea.

EDIT: Folks very fairly pointed out the dismissiveness of my wording, and y’all are right. While I do think therapy can and does help with addictions of any type, my wording about guilt rather than addressing the actual addiction only served the humor I was going for and wasn’t respectful for the condition. There’s a slew of mods you can install to really change stuff, but I think the best starting point would be an alternate start mod. There’s two approaches to these, a short questionnaire that is part of character creation which gives your character a bit of background and spawns you in a corresponding location. To start the main quest you simply visit Helgan at any time.

The other approach is basically just random starting locations. This is often used for higher difficulty mods packs aimed for a rouge like experience.

Aren’t EVs mostly a thing to save the car industry, and not really in the end all that good for the environment? Between the ethics of the supply chains, to the actual environmental impact of material extraction, the benefits really only matter if all car owners swapped right away, and even then only begin to go carbon positive over a long time. While I realize not everywhere has transit available, where it is a way more positive environmental impact can be had from people just ditching cars outright. Though here in the states this quickly runs into problems with urban planning literally being intentionally bad to force people to own cars to keep the car industry alive.

I also don’t really know a ton about the car industry because I avoid them at all costs, so I’m happy to be educated. Almost of of my knowledge is from urbanism perspectives…

Ohhhhhhh. That scratched something in my brain. The viewing multiple tags. That’s on the fly special workspaces. Or maybe dynamic would be the better word. Like any tag can become that floating workspace. Presumably you could script context awareness into that too…Okay okay. I will be giving River a try. I’m in the throes of refactoring my nix config, but once I’ve got something stable again I’ll make sure to break it by installing River!
