Thank you. You should the Arkansas DLC for American Truck Sim is really good.
It’s always a heated debate. My son has a quest 1 and 2 and he’s always trying to convert me. I just dont think ill ever be really into it. Im sure it has its place just not with my setup atm.
With VR all my attempts at a cab recreation are wasted.
I dont think ill ever be into VR. Im not a fan of the headsets. I dont like not being able to see outside of the game. I feel the same way about gaming with headphones though. I dont like being isolated from the real world.
If you would like to see the Mic in action in game. I did a video using it with OBS. I havent done much with the convoy side outside of just making sure it worked.
Thank you its been updated.
Thank you! It’s a lot of fun I love these truck sim games.
I’ve been thinking about building my own ffb wheel. I want to first focus on cab/dash recreation
Sure. It’s just a button box I created for American truck simulator so that I can have things like a keyed ignition and various buttons to map for in game use. Utilizing a old Xbox 360 controller I was able to attach leads to the buttons pads and use the controller in place of a USB encoder. I run simhub with a custom dash from my phone and the lighting is for ambiance and function. My cab is kinda dark so there are times where having a light is very handy.
I really like mine. Its comfortable for long races. I did brace the chair so at the moment mine doesnt have the rocking effect. Here are some pics for a couple months ago when I got my g29. https://imgur.com/gallery/9kkFi4T
I really like it and I think I could hide all the guts underneath the chair when its all said and done.
Honestly I have a Poang chair from ikea and I was thinking about using windshield wiper motors like this fella did. https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/ikea-1-5-dof-ultra-comfort.5602/ I think it would be a great entry level start then Ill maybe move on to actuators and big boy stuff.
Man thats cool. I want to build my own wheel too. I think once I determine which motor to use Ill be golden just hard to decide. Im hoping to build a motion rig also in the future.
I dont know how VA would work as the left and right monitor but I have a single curved VA as my primary and two IPS as my left and right and outside of color matching its not too shabby. I like it. I’m soon going to be replacing the IPS monitors so I have three identical screens. I have tested the viewing angles and I dont believe Ill have any issues.
It’s pretty fun finding creative ways to have a car in your house without having a car in your house :-).
Not that I have seen so far. I have found some cars that physics dont work on so you have to redownload the car through the RSF plug in.
I was playing with the Opel last night and thought of your advice as I went into this corner. https://youtu.be/ScuyeG00PxA?si=LbmIJcQLGq94p7wY&t=834
Thank you very much for the tips and advice. I was hoping to receive some constructive criticism soon. I normally use numeric pace notes when I’m running practice stages. I think I got so excited to run the rally I didn’t really prepare. Correctly. I knew I was in trouble after the first stage but figured I’d stick to it. I turned off visual pace notes after that rally to force myself to listen to Janne. What are some stages you use to practice? The new RabocsiRing RX has been my go to for training. I’m sure there is better I just love that stage.
The brand name is ReadiBoard by RL Adams Plastics. I purchased it at my local Dollar store.
Looking good! I just picked up my first flightsim. I really feel like I’ve been missing out.
