I was never a fan of the saying … but yeah what a great place to go get knowledge on weird specific things you’re getting into, and to share the knowledge that you’ve already gained.

It’s been so long since I’ve seen that saying. A wave of nostalgia from when Reddit wasn’t shit hit.

Reddit had an older user base, comments were better and they made use of the edit button properly. Now it’s full of teenagers who don’t think twice about their low effort comments, or all spam for bots.

I miss Reddit from 10 years ago.

Goddamn it irritated me when people would just type edit without having actually edited their post. Just fucking change it.

They may have actually edited. Any edits within the first 3 minutes wouldn’t be marked with the asterisk.

Jeez its been so long since that was a thing , most new redditors wouldn’t know that one, but I remember thinking that was … cool? Back in 2014 . Its tough seeing sync for reddit go , buti think it was time . Reddit was getting real bad , just can hope lemmy can gain enough steam to become a well posted community in its own right , I think sync for lemmy will definitely help.

      2014?

Man, that phrase was cringe when I joined in 2012. Was a much better site back then though.
