I recently bought a vertical mouse and so far, gaming aside, I’m very satisfied with it, for the posture and comfort factor. I’m slowly practicing my gaming skills again. Now, I was wondering, how many people do prefer vertical mices over traditional ones?

I use vertical mice and would never go back. The learning curve lasted about 5 minutes at which point it stopped feeling weird or different. I game with it and though I was never great to begin with, I haven’t noticed a decrease in ability.

Like 99% of the population I was used to traditional mices for basically my whole life, so I have to get the hang of them…

Had to get a vertical mouse last year after my Roccat Nyth’s rubber bits started falling off after 5 or so years of use, and I was tired of the wrist pain.

Overall, I would prefer a trackball, but they don’t make them with as many buttons as I want on them, usually, and have it still be thumb controlled.

Never heard of a vertical mouse until now. Is it for better ergonomics? It looks more comfortable.

Sure! Then, of course, you have to get used to vertical movements instead of having to move the mouse on a flat surface.
