Louisiana GOP Gov. Jeff Landry has declared a state of emergency due to a police officer shortage.
Landry’s executive order issued Thursday lifts limits on how many new employees Louisiana sheriffs can hire and on payroll increases for their departments.
Landry, who previously had a career in law enforcement, said that police departments in the state are experiencing record-low employments “resulting in increased crime and less public safety.” As of July, sheriff’s offices statewide were down 1,800 deputies, Landry said.
Yep we are in the middle of a full on fascist surge, and the reprehensibles are gathering their troops. It’s going to get really bad soon and no one seems interested in actually addressing this.
Yeah. Antifa. They’ve been fighting fascists since 1920s and part of their rationale for autonomous action is that the state is just notoriously bad at opposing fascism. That’s why they protest against right wing fascist gateway speakers on campuses, because fascist speech / well crafted lies is fascist recruitment. Unfortunately well meaning “liberals” like e.g. Bill Maher then always come out of the woodwork and say bla bla free speech lol.
There is also liberal fascism that uses legal means but that’s already pretty active in the US.

Well I’d say they grew up and lived in a time where the economy had real growth so there were opportunists and they got wealthy - so they fundamentally don’t understand the power of fascism as material conditions deteriorate. They are stupid and that is dangerous.
Exactly. Some of us have been calling out fascists lies for our entire adult lives. Standing strong to attack them when they march.
