I just platinumed Jedi Survivor (which was awesome, you should play it) and I’m looking for my next new awesomeness to play.

I have been finishing up Tunic. The game is fantastic and I love seeing all of the small little things that have been accessible the whole time that I have since gained the knowledge to interact with.

Still playing Tears of the Kingdom.

I will launch up Tactic Ogre Reborn when I’m traveling. Working on endgame right now in that one.

Final Fantasy XVI, and it’s consuming my thoughts to a degree that surprises me, considering I haven’t really liked one of those games since FFX. I’ve already put 15 hours on it since Friday (quite a bit for me, I don’t get very much time to game these days). It really is incredible; I haven’t had this much fun with a game since probably Read Dead II. I’m also playing Battlebit Remastered on the rare occasion that my friends and I are able to game at the same time.
I travel for work so on my laptop I installed Fallout 4 with a modpack obtained through Wabbajack installer (Welcome to Paradise) and I’m playing through as a melee-only knight. I’m using console commands to stock up on stimpacks and radaway so that I don’t have to stop and loot since I’ve played this game several times; I can just run around like a madman with a sword, slicing legions of enemies apart. Playing it as an action game has been a ton of fun.

Also nice username/pic @Teft, I’m a big Stormlight Archives fan.

I’ve been playing almost exclusively Street Fighter 6 since it came out. I’m still terrible as it’s my first SF game, but I am having a ton of fun

Nope, still going strong. Already bought ToTK on launch so I’d have something to look forward to. Got 2 devine beasts down (almost 3).

Completely burned out, but I occasionally play Death Stranding, because that bad boy knows how to keep everything tight. I’m thinking about delving into the world of emulation, maybe some TRPGs - will see.

Still trying to get into Tears of the Kingdom after 50 hours. I absolutely loved BOTW but I really have trouble feeling involved with TOTK, it feels like I’ve already played the game. They slightly changed everything just a bit, just enough to change the gameplay feeling but not enough for me to feel the same appeal to explore the world.

Warframe: Really loving the Duviri update. I’m an old player but there’s suddenly a reason to build out a lot of weapons that I’ve mostly ignored beyond Mastery farming. Fortunately, I kept everything so the only issue is having enough forma.

Minecraft: Randomly wanted to play it again (heavily modded, All the Mods 8, I have to scratch that automation itch). Haven’t played in ages, so pillagers were a vanilla surprise and so was the fact you can now dig past y=0 (along with the new interesting caves and berries). In the end, though, I’m still a dirty melon farmer that subsists solely off my melons.

Kenshi: I also started Kenshi a bit ago. It’s an interesting game, but it’s certainly a slow burn which I don’t necessarily like. I’m up to 10 characters now, but only two of them can handle combat with any degree of competency and everyone else keeps falling over from the slightest breeze. I’m currently just living out of Squin until enough passing by herbivores get stomped that my team can handle real combat. Fortunately, mining is extremely lucrative so I don’t have to worry about food.

I’ve been thrilled with duviri for the same reason! I’ve gained some respect for weapons that I had previously disregarded and sold after leveling. It really feels like it’s putting new life into the game. At least to someone who’s gotten through most of it.

For Forma, it can be easier to farm platinum through various means and then buy the 3 for 35 plat bundles. That’s my typical weekly grind when I want to accelerate the forma gathering. There’s also a way I remember seeing where you can farm fully built ones but it’s not the most efficient

Signalis - grabbed it on sale and playing through on steam deck.

Stellaris - I’ve spent too much time building empires only to lose interest in mid/late game.

Re: Stellaris - me too, and I bet a lot of other people as well. It has what my friend group calls “the Civilization problem”; the initial setup and expansion is by far more interesting than the late game when things are more static. Stellaris does it better than the Civ games, in my opinion (mid and late game crises and events help), but still falls into the same trap. I’m not really sure how this could be solved, but maybe something like late-game expansion opportunities (like the L cluster, but more) and more robust internal politics and espionage could help.

Glad to know it’s not just me. Civ and Stellaris both, game progression for me goes like: fun, fun, fun, yeah screw that guy!, fun … getting less fun, definitely not as fun anymore, meh.

I just picked up Cult of the Lamb which is at least silly fun. Bonus points for blasphemy!

Agreed. I’ve seen there is a mod to add more mid/late game encounters or content, but I haven’t tried it yet. I think more developed diplomatic events would make mid/late game more interesting. Most of my playthroughs end up being an arms race towards the end, which sure that can be a fun aspect of the game, but not super interesting. Very much like civ, and I think you’re correct they both suffer from the late game “domination” aspect.

My idea of a successful Stellaris game it not coming in first, but making it to the end with a functional empire.

I’m also probably a noob when it comes to Stellaris, but I still enjoy it.

Right now, Battlebit Remastered (which I just bought). Despite being not that good at the gunplay yet, I’m doing well and having fun just playing a medic and dragging people out of the line of fire for revives and heals. Highlight of today was frantically healing everyone in a full chopper while we dueled an enemy chopper over a capture point, with the pilot micspamming Pirates of the Caribbean music the whole time. Really brings me back to the good ol days of multiplayer lobbies (without a lot of the casual bigotry - game seems pretty good at actually banning it so far).

Diablo 4. It’s good, not great but I think it’s a good foundation to build upon. I’m interested to see what Blizzard does for season 1. I don’t expect anything dramatic like Diablo 3’s latest season, but I’m still looking forward to it.

Likewise. Enjoying Diablo 4 while waiting to see whether Final Fantasy XVI 60fps mode performance will improve at some point.

Got D4 on PS5 and PC, jumping between both of them and a Steam Deck. Really good, mindless game. Still making my way trough the story, since I enjoy narrative content more than the grind.

I think control is the only game where I went out of my way to read each and every little note and message and all that crap. Whoever worked on that stuff did an amazing job. I had so much fun reading and listening to all that stuff and learning about the world
