Loved Season 1, excited for Season 2. Although, I’m not sure how I feel about trying to fit the entire time period between the show and Rogue One into one season. Feels like they could have gotten multiple seasons out of that, but I understand not wanting to have the show drag on.
I had a hard time getting into season 1. Not sure what it was. It just wasn’t engaging?
I thought it was engaging; in fact, I thought it was a surprisingly well-crafted drama with really interesting characters. It’s probably my favorite of all the Star Wars tv shows. It does take itself pretty seriously and is lacking in the fun & adventure department, so I’m guessing it won’t land well for fans who prefer The Mandalorian- type of energy/vibe? Eh, maybe it just ain’t your cup of tea.
It is my favorite piece of Star Wars media since Zahn’s Thrawn trilogy. It completely surprised me because when I first heard about it, I thought ‘who wants this!?’, and then it blew me away.
To me, it finally feels like a mature Star Wars. And I say that as someone who likes most of the other stuff too, this was just so good.
