I’m sorry if I’m being too active and affecting your local feed (if you use lemmy that way).

While it may seem like I’m perpetually online, I blew out my knee and am bedridden for a week (possibly 4 in a worst case scenario).

It will stop soon and I’ll go back to living a normal life. In the meantime, I’m just adding content so people are more likely to stick around.

Sorry again.

Thanks for adding content, it’s certainly a good time to be helping build activity given the interest in Lemmy/kbin/fediverse.

For me, I don’t subscribe to many communities and use the local feed to keep an eye on recent content.

      You’d be suffering the worst.

I’ll ease it up when I’m mobile and walking so hopefully more content people start by then. Lemmy being in alpha doesn’t help either, once people get their head around things then maybe. Lemmy might not even take off, something else might be the next big thing.

Keep up the good work! We’re over 1000 registered users on this instance now, so having good content is key to keeping folk engaged.

I haven’t noticed an overbearing presence and the community has been very enjoyable to engage with so far. Thank you for providing content for us to discuss.

It does depend on how one uses Lemmy. For example, I’m not subscribed to any aussie.zone communities because I use Local to browse on ‘New’.

Seeing myself through that is a little excessive. I’ve nearly finished the internet so I’ll be stopping soon. Just got the Final Boss to beat.

I rotate through subscriptions, local and all depending on my mood. Lemmy doesn’t suffer from having a mass userbase of opinionated idiots (yet) so even the larger and more active communities and threads remain worthwhile.

I won’t deny the news in this area isn’t great if we are being realistic. The important part is to decide what we are going to do about it. Doing nothing begets nothing. I find it quite motivating to do more and work harder. Cleans my conscience to do so. Ahhh to be born 150 years ago and just land clearing without a care in the world (besides diseases and infections, the occasional starvation etc). Scratch that. Ahh, to be born 1945-1950.

If you want happy news (and I have posted a few), find some and post or let me know about a topic and I’ll do some research and post. The @boomadooma@aussie.zone post is definitely the worst one, without a doubt; just avoid that one.

I’ve been trying to find Melbourne related news and it’s mostly negative, hard to find regular news.

Keep up the activity, most people naturally don’t participate in Reddit posts/comments, so it’s going to be hard for us to maintain an enjoyable amount of content for everyone with a smaller group of people.

As the Reddit users check us out every day and especially from the 1st of July, the more activity we have for them the better for Lemmy adoption.

If you look at my profile, you’ll see you have nothing to worry about.

            You can quote in a reply with a > in front of the quoted text;

Yeah, I know but sometimes I think it’s not noticeable enough and italics look better. I’m still deciding on what I like. I was thinking quote and italics would be better.

bold and underline, really sell it; “no way did I type this, look at this formatting!”

                  Brilliant.
