Has Putin committed so much of Russia’s fighting forces to Ukraine that he does not have the capacity to defend Russia from any invasion? Putin was relying on the threat of nuclear war to prevent any external invasion but that doesn’t protect him from an internal invasion. Prigozhin has perhaps very accurately assessed that he is the strongest military force in Russia right now. I am very interested in what happens to Russia after this. I don’t want to claim that this is the end of Putin’s Russia quite yet but it certainly seems to be a bad time to be named Vladimir Putin.

AFAIK (but sure, I don’t know much), the people expected to defend from an internal invasion are exactly the ones invading.

What a clusterfuck this whole war has been for him. Hopefully it makes all the other dipshit warmongers around the world think twice.

Plot twist, Wagner dude takes over Russia in largely unchallenged coup, tracks down Putin, hands him over to the International Criminal Court and pulls out of Ukraine in exchange for being left alone to rule Russia and immunity for himself.
