In the Simpsons episode “Secrets of a Successful Marriage” Homer gets a job teaching at the local civic center. On the way to his first day of class, he stops at the drive thru of Krusty Burger. When asked for his order, Homer said he had no time because he had a class to teach. The teenager working the drive thru informed Homer that it’s a felony to tease the order box. I wonder if it’s a crime to go to the drive thru, not order anything, and drive away.
If you are disrupting the business and you are told to leave, and you refuse, then that would be trespassing. There is no sane jurisdiction in which simply going to a drive thru without buying anything constitutes a crime.
This seems like common sense to me.
I could see some local law where there could be a fine associated with it, maybe after a spree of drivethrough-ding-dong-ditching hit the town
Wouldn’t be a felony though
Except in a cartoon world where it’s happened so many times they made it a felony
It’s just a kid working in a drive thru though, not a court thingy.
Also, typically trespass wouldn’t be a felony
