Not interpreting it correctly. The meme is suggesting that the apologia for Hamas’s war crimes and goals by tankies is actually damaging to the Palestinian cause here in the West.
The ongoing genocide is not addressed directly by the meme. The burning town is simply part of the meme template which is used for self-defeating and self-congratulatory actions.
Nobody is celebrating the murder of civilians. We’re just not stupid enough to think that while Hamas did in fact commit heinous acts, this is how it ends every time when the oppressive country shoots peaceful protestors.
israel could have redeemed in 2018 with the Peaceful march to return but instead shot at peaceful protestors and even killed a medic.
