Since I won’t be active given events coming up soon, post below if anyone wants to take up moderation. Ideally I’d prefer if you mention any experience you have and why you’d want to do that, This is true for all the groups I run and with Lemmys limitation I might have to post it on those, but this group needs it the most so I’m starting here.

Yo, I have no mod experience but lots of technical experience (set up my own lemmy instance).

I’m interested because quitting Reddit and starting a Lemmy instance was a deliberate act to rethink how I use social media. I’m trying to spend less time endlessly scrolling and more time creating or curating.

I also have a very small grudge with Nintendo. I bought a game key from a 3rd party and they locked my account over it. They gave me my account back when I provided a receipt showing I got a refund for the game but they told me if it happened again they would permanently lock it and I would lose all the games I had paid for. I think that’s a really shitty way to treat your customers.

If you don’t find anyone before you have to stop being active, you can add me as mod so I can add anyone who steps up later.

strange, I don’t seem to have access to edit the community as admin

But I see I can add others as mods as admin, so I guess it’s OK
