Kung may pambili ba eh, why not? Good luck!

Samantalang ako, di ko pa tapos hulugan yung phone ko, kakabili ko lang kasi eh (roughly nine months ago). I thought it’d be a decent phone (and it has decent-enough specs for my usecases), but I never thought I’d struggle so hard to de-bloat and remove ads from its apps.

MIUI EU is decent replacement for bloated MIUI Global ROM, at babalik ako this week after some hiccups I encountered on previous EU ROMs.

And yes, Redmi Note 11 is a decent phone. I have this for a year na.

Hm, thanks for the idea. I’m really not comfortable dealing with replacing ROMS (and especially dealing with custom ROMS), but I’d at least give it a look.

The biggest worry I have in replacing my ROM (from Global to EU) is I’d brick my phone in the process and no means to put it back to the last working config.

Be sure to backup your phone’s vendor img file first, para incase ma-deadboot o brick, you can revert to Global ROM. I’ve encountered this multiple times on different Xiaomi devices. It’s fun and scary at the same time. Haha.

Ganito ako dati, matakotin sa flashing ROMs.

Not sure if your response has calmed me down or made me more nervous. Hahaha! 😅

But thanks! I’ll look into it this weekend siguro. To be honest, I kinda want to do this on a smartphone that isn’t being used, but I don’t have any! Nakakatakot kasi yung magkakalikot sa device na currently mong ginagamit (kinda like doing tests on the production server, lol!)

Oh, boy. I only have one smartphone. Most of my data are synced in cloud, and I can plug my SIM to my laptop whenever my smartphone is fucked. Lol

Ayun! I only have a desktop here (and I use it for my work–WFH life), so I don’t really have that kind of option.

Anyways, yeah, nothing ventured, nothing gained. I just have to have the time to deal with it, I guess. Hopefully sa weekend I’d have the time to give things a try.

EDIT: I‌ do have an extra phone here, but it’s my old one (Vivo Y53), and due to a strange decision I made, I use it for stuff like GCash and banking. I already have gone a bit of debloating and de-googling there, but I’m not really that comfortable making any more modifications to it.
