    How is it “working”?

If websites end up blocking access to EU citizens instead of complying it doesn’t help.

BTW please switch of Windows 7, it’s outdated and doesn’t get security updates anymore.

All telemetry technologies and methods that are used in Windows 10 got ported to Windows 7 too a while back.

It’s definitely “working” against EU users, that’s for sure. The message they’re trying to send is “We can’t be bothered to follow protocols and facilitate EU users, so run along!”. Some sites that do block EU even have the audacity to state something along the lines of “We care about our EU users”. Yuck.

I get that, but that’s the dilemma of it all. While it protects EU users’ data, it comes with a cost of not being able to access the website. I don’t know if I speak for everyone when I say this but I’d like to visit websites without being stopped dead in my tracks simply for living in the EU. At the same time, I want to keep my data safe and sound from greedy businessmen. But that’s a bit of a pipe dream since I ask for too much of the currently GDPR non-compliant websites.

Outline.com kinda mitigates that hurdle, but some websites straight up can’t be Outline’d. VPN is a great solution, but I’m piss poor and I find it redundant to entrust free VPN services to access these GDPR non-compliant websites.

    Downvoting offtopics wow last

    offtopic

windows 10 brainwashed if you dont know how to manipulate windows 7 dont say non senses its still getting updates games works even greater , and for Linux guys get me Pes2021 on Linux and ill change it from dual boot to main system till there ill stick on w7 for games has it has amazing performance and telemetry can be removed using scripts while integrating updates and making the iso, which you cant on w10 even if you tweak it you send 5500 times per day your data to microsoft so think twice before pointing your finger
