Specifically, I mean like what you typically will slap on without thinking too hard for leveling or trying out. Without potato, I’ll do Serration+viral 60/60 mods if it has any kind of status, or Serration+crit if it has any reasonable crit. If it has neither…well viral it is anyway.
Melee weapons I at least have the room to usually add an attack speed mod and that’s about it.
What do you usually gravitate towards on a “leveling” build?
Damage, multishot and crit mods if the weapon is crit based or Galv status mod and Heat 60/60.
I main Volt with Nourish, so the weapon will have Viral and double CD buff, which makes even junk without mods be able to handle a few rounds of low level SP Survival as I level them.
Alternatively, if the weapon is so bad even this won’t work, I’ll slap it on Styanax and go ESO. Styanax does limited area nuke but more importantly provides insane energy regen if you have Nourish on him, which enables my team to nuke ESO more often and in turn level up my trash weapon faster.
Serration, Galv Multishot, and then either viral 60/60 or critdelay depending on the stats.
For melee, normally pressure point and then elementals.
As even a spread of damage multipliers as I can manage, even if it means using lower rank mods and Warframe arcanes. If I think I’ll like the weapon, I’ll drop a weapon arcane adapter on it for a +dmg boost, using the weapon mods for fire rate and multishot instead of serration/hornet strike
Galvanized Multishot, Galvanized Crit/Status based on the profiles of the weapon, either whatever damage type scales best or viral based on status profile of the weapon (ie Corrosive v Grineer for low stat weapons or viral for high stat)
I’ll stuff a potato in it and usually just use the auto-installed build until I decide whether I want to bother leveling it for something besides mastery XP.
Damage + crit or status + multi/attack speed, but teh higher the MR the more you can chuck on it at first.
That said, as long as it isnt melee ill just level in ESO with Gara and mods dont really matter.
