    So in response to the US being unwilling to change, your entire argument is

      Rip out the electrical system of an entire country and replace most other electronics so your electric kettle is slightly faster. I’m sure they’ll get right on it. If it’s really that important just have a 240v circuit put in to the kitchen and delight in your slightly faster boil times (since we do actually have 240v power, as I said).
